For the treatment and control of bacterial infections in cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs and cats caused by or associated with organisms sensitive to Amoxycillin.
150mg/mL Amoxycillin (as the trihydrate) in an oily base.
Restraints:
DO NOT USE administer by the intravenous or intrathecal route.
Precautions:
Any variation by the prescribing veterinarian to the approved dose, frequency, duration, route, disease or target species may require extending the withholding period.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Use the contents of the vial within 28 days of initial broaching and discard any unused portion. Shake well before use. Use a dry syringe and needle. Do not administer by the intravenous or intrathecal route.
1. Injections are to be given in the neck region.
2. Injection site volume should not exceed 10mL, ie a 20mL dose should be divided between two sites.
3. Treated animals should be clearly identified in such a way that they will maintain their identity during the withholding period.
Dose Rates: By Intramuscular injection 15mg/kg bodyweight. Repeat administration every 48 hours until symptoms subside. Massage the injection site after administration.
Cow 400kg 40mL

Hypersensitivity (anaphylactoid) reactions have been reported in animals sensitised to Amoxycillin. These occurrences are rare. Prompt treatment with antihistamines in indicated. Penicillins and Cephalosporins may cause hypersensitivity (allergy) following injection, inhalation, ingestion or skin contact. Hypersensitivity to penicillins may lead to cross reactions to cephalosporins and vice versa. Allergic reactions to these substances may occasionally be serious.
1. Do not handle this product if you know you are sensitised or if you have been advised not to work with such preparations.
2. Handle this product with great care to avoid exposure, taking all recommended precautions.
3. If you develop symptoms following exposure such as a skin rash, you should seek medical advice and show the doctor this warning. Swelling of the face, lips or eyes or difficulty with breathing are more serious symptoms and require medical attention.
WITHHOLDING PERIODS
MEAT: - DO NOT USE less than 30 days before slaughter for human consumption.
MILK: - Milk collected from cows or ewes within 72 hours (6 milkings) following treatment MUST NOT BE USED for human consumption or processing or fed to bobby calves.
