Feed supplement for the prophylactic use when at risk from diseases and for therapeutic treatment of diseases caused by microorganisms susceptible to chlortetracycline in calves, pigs and poultry.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Restraints: DO NOT USE in lactating cows where milk or milk products may be used or processed for human consumption.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Prophylactic Dose: if calves, pigs or poultry are in conditions that predispose towards disease, including stress due to rehousing, transport, vaccination or weaning, Chlormix CTC should be administered at a prophylactic dose for up to 28 days. Thoroughly mix 500g of Chlormix CTC into one tonne of finished feed. Ensure that the mixing procedure results in a uniform distribution of the product in the feed. This dose will result in a concentration of antibiotic equivalent to 100 ppm chlortetracycline hydrochloride.
Therapeutic Dose: if calves, pigs or poultry are diseased, thoroughly mix 2 kg of Chlormix CTC into one tonne of finished feed. Ensure that the mixing procedure results in a uniform distribution of the product in the feed. This dose will result in a concentration of antibiotic equivalent to 400 ppm chlortetracycline hydrochloride. Dose for not more than 7 days.
Any variation by the prescribing veterinarian to the dose, frequency, duration, route, disease or target species may require extending the approved withholding period.
WITHHOLDING PERIODS
MEAT:
Prophylactic dose - DO NOT USE less than 5 days (in calves and pigs) and 2 days (in poultry) before slaughter for human consumption.
Therapeutic dose - DO NOT USE less than 10 days (in calves) and 7 days (pigs and poultry) before slaughter for human consumption.
TRADE ADVICE
EXPORT SLAUGHTER INTERVAL (ESI): An ESI has not been established for this product. Note – observing the meat withholding period may not be sufficient to mitigate potential risks to export trade. Trade Advice should be sought from Abbey Animal Health Pty Ltd on (02) 8088 0720 before using this product.
SAFEMEAT Provisional Russian ESI of 90 days is applied for cattle and pigs whose commodities are destined for export to Russia.
